First Bites at Swift’s Attic

Got a chance to finally try the new Swift’s Attic on Congress at the site of the former Kyoto. There’s been a lot of hoopla about this opening and on a first tasting, we were quite pleased. I loved their take on the Korean classic Kimche and absolutely adored the Onion Rings (interesting presentation). There was so much flavor there that any kind of sauce or condiment would have been superfluous. Also thought the Pork Cheeks were a delight. They were tender and perfectly cooked and served along with house made mustard and toast points.

The Quail was also good although not on the same level as the Pork Cheeks or the stunning PEI Mussels.

They’ve got some serious talent here and I cannot wait for a second visit.

Only complaint was an absence of virtually any illumination at our table. But I understand they’re working on that!
