Homespun Kitchen and Bar Evolves into Must-Visit Restaurant in Dripping Springs.
When I I first visited Homespun Kitchen and Bar, I was impressed with its hominess and the quality of its comfort food dishes. But owners Randy Ford and Jennifer Walker (shown above) have ramped up the food to the point where they have a real coterie of devoted foodies.
Sophisticated dishes like fried catfish Pontchartrain covered with a marvelous étouffée now populate the menu. And there’s a stunning shrimp and grits along with a tomato Caprese quinoa bowl. The chicken fried chicken is the best I’ve had anywhere in the city.
Homespun Kitchen and Bar may still look like a cozy little place, but it’s way more than that. Trust me on this!
