A Few of the Reasons I like Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q

There’s always a smile awaiting you at Rudy’s. The servers seem to genuinely like their jobs and it reflects in the genial attitude they project to the customers.

There may be a line from time to time, but unlike the three hour adventures that can await at another Austin BBQ joint, the lines at Rudy’s always seem to move relatively quickly. And that’s a huge plus to hungry ‘cue fans.

The smoked meats always deliver great flavor. The moist brisket is my favorite and it literally dissolves into mouth feel goodness on the first bite.

Love the St Louis Pork Ribs and the sausage is irresistible. I’ve also really grown to like the pork loin. It’s seriously tasty and tender. Makes for a great sandwich as well.

The creamed corn is a sinful pleasure. (OK, so it’s got a few carbs … but who’s counting?) And ditto for the new potatoes.

And let me clear one thing up. There’s a video on Youtube where I appear to drink an entire bottle of their Bar-B-Q sauce. Well, I actually didn’t. But the point was they have great sauce that really complements their meats. Seems like there’s always a bottle in our fridge. And why not?
