Abel’s North Grill and Tap House Opens at Site of Former Cool River

The dynamic duo of Austin dining, Austin and Ellis Winstanley, have added Cool River on Parmer to their growing portfolio. It has opened, all 28,000 square feet of it, as Abel’s North Grill and Tap House.

The duo also are in the process of bringing Artz Rib House on Lamar back to the fray. They began opening restaurants while students at UT (anything ring a bell there?) and have built an impressive company for a couple of 32 year-olds.

Tackling the massive Cool River has been quite a challenge but so, far, from what I’ve been told, so good. Looking forward to my first meal there next week.
