Are You Kidding Me: Quaker Steak and Lube?
There are many comfort food based chains around the U.S., but with their most recent and first entry into to Texas (in Waco) and later New Jersey, Quaker Steak and Lube, a motorsports-themed casual dining chain now boasts a total of 56 owned and franchised restaurants.
I can’t imagine why this chain hasn’t scheduled an opening adjacent to our forthcoming Formula 1 Track. The menu is what you’d expect: dishes named Backfire Boom Boom Shrimp (of course coated with boom boom sauce), dozens of wing dishes, and the decor features Harleys and Nascars hanging from the ceiling. Menu entrees range from $8-$18 provided you can keep a straight face long enough to get to your seat in the Corvette room.
Man, just when you thought Joe’s Crab Shack had casual schmaltzed dining up as much as possible, along comes Quaker Steak and Lube. They should offer a variety of sugar-loaded colonics under the Lube part of the menu.
