Austin Food + Wine Festival Returns

Back for another year, this Friday through Sunday at Auditorium Shores is the gentrified and most definitely pricier Austin Food + Wine Festival. Most of the same chefs from last year are back, along with a few national imports. There can be no doubt as to the quality and culinary skill represented this year: it’s as good as it gets.

But somehow it’s just not the same for yours truly. I miss the old days when Ed and Susan Auler of Fall Creek started the Hill Country Wine and Food Festival. Back then it had a more local feel to it, and seemed much less corporate.

That being said, the new owners must be doing something right, because this year’s tickets are already sold out. But you can live vicariously by logging on to austinfoodandwinefestival.com. We’ll also keep you posted here on our site. Bon appetit!
