Bacon Opens at 10th and Lamar

In our city’s current dining infatuation with all things pork and pork related (Barley Swine, The Noble Pig, Three Little Pigs just to name a few) a new restaurant called “Bacon” opened over the weekend at the former site of The Screaming Goat at 10th and North Lamar.

As you would expect from the name, there are a numbering of offerings such as a burger composed of both ground beef and ground bacon that pay an homage to one of America’s favorite comfort foods.

Now bacon fan that I am, I am hard pressed to find any fault with the concept. That location has been a tough one though since the closure of long-time occupant Basil’s so here’s hoping that Bacon can hit the ground with all four pig’s feet running! It was apparently SRO over the weekend so they’re off to a good start.
