Cedar Door Unveils Redesign

Steve Potts unveiled his new Cedar Door on 2nd St Wednesday night to a crowd of over 400 diverse and happy revelers. Mexican martinis (made with their famous mix) made the rounds along with tasty bites from the pub’s new menu.

The first word that hit me, relative to the Cedar Door that I’ve known through the years, was spacious. There’s a lot of room and the place is well appointed. The second word that hit me was tasty, and that went for the drinks and the food.

It’s a treat to see this old girl in full bloom again. The “Door” is as iconic a joint as there ever was in Austin. And the redo fits like a snug glove. Check out the new digs and menu at cedardooraustin.com.
