CelebrASIA Food Truck Competition Saturday at 11am

The Asian American Resource Center is staging a food truck battle Saturday, May 2nd, at 8401 Cameron Rd.

Competing trucks are Chaat Shop, Kung Fu Kitchen, Oyama and Thai 2 U. Judges include yours truly, Foo Swassee (Satay), MM Pack (Austin Chronicle), to name just a few. There will also be a focus on the role of the coconut in Asian cuisine, and each judge will bring along a favorite recipe.

Food tasting will begin at 11:15am and go to 12:15am. The audience will have an opportunity to have a Meet n’ Greet with the judges from 1pm to 1:30pm. Winners will be announced at 2:45pm.
