Chris Watters: Austin Realtor and Foodie
Realtors, especially one like Chris Watters, head of Watters International Realty, have to fill many roles. The obvious role is as a marketer of residential properties and fitting folks looking for a home into an appropriate housing scenario.
Watters has a degree in Finance from Texas State. Prior to that he had a local lawn mowing business. One of his customers worked for Keller Williams and he provided the impetus for Chris’ entry into the central Texas real estate market.
The firm Chris began has flourished. One of its hallmarks is meticulous attention to every aspect of the sales process, from market research to meeting every need of the client, anticipated or otherwise.
A significant portion of that service, particularly for out-of-town buyers, is to serve as a clearinghouse for recommending local businesses – and that includes restaurants.
For an unabashed foodie like Chris Watters, that’s a pleasant and rewarding task. His go-to picks include the famous bone-in pork chop at Perry’s, the cornucopia of sushi delights at Uchi Austin, the linguine with clam sauce at Red Ash Italia, the modern Mexican concepts at ATX Cocina, and many others.
“Dining is such an integral part of the Austin entertainment scene and we take pride in providing our recommendations to those who are new to the city.” says Watters.
Talk about the many roles of a successful realtor! It’s no wonder that Watters International has reached the position that it enjoys in central Texas.
We welcome Chris and his firm as a site sponsor of Dining Out with Rob Balon.
