Ciclo Brunch Four Seasons Austin Texas

The Sunday brunch at Four Seasons has long held the acknowledged top spot as the best in the city. The transition to Ciclo as the main restaurant has done little to change that.

Executive chef and major-domo Elmar Prambs and his crew continue to shine. Our last visit there was delightful. The antipasto and Caprese salad ensemble was a killer and the various dim sum and nigiri sushi offerings were fresh and tasty, as were the chilled boiled shrimp and crab claws.

The breakfast offerings including a wonderfully tasty eggs and sausage Benedict, an omelette station and fresh home fries, chicken and waffles, and home baked muffins along with other delectable pastries. And at the end of the line there is always a carving station including a prime rib au jus or a stunning pork roast.

The dessert bar is tempting, but by the time we get to it we’re usually too stuffed to indulge. Such is the feast at the Ciclo Brunch.

Yes, there are other very good brunches around the city including the Mexican feast at the iconic Fonda San Miguel and the newer entry at Lambert’s, along with the always temping repast at at Café Blue and Tillie’s at Camp Lucy. But Ciclo at Four Seasons has carried on the seamless transition of brunch from predecessor Trio. And that’s great news for brunch fans!
