Each year we usually provide you with a ponderous list for Easter brunch choices. This year will be a bit different. We’ll narrrow out list a bit, and provide some brief commentary on each choice. So enjoy and have a wonderful day. Don’t forget to email us at info@diningoutwithrobbalon.com with any questions.

Freda’s Seafood Grill
This is a great deal from 10am-3pm for $24.95. Freda Cheng runs a great restaurant, and her brunches are very popular and as the above price reflects, very reasonable. Plus you get to hang with Freda, always a treat.

Trio at The Four Seasons
I know, I know, the price is over the top, but so is the food. This has consistently been the best Sunday brunch in town for years. Splurge once and give it a try.

The League Kitchen & Tavern (Lakeway and Avery Ranch)
This is a neat restaurant with a wide variety of comfort foods. Nice environment and a great and enthusiastic staff provide for consistent and reasonably priced experiences.

Café Blue at the Galleria
On our Top 20 list and well deserving of it. Chefs Ben and Chelsea are a force in the kitchen, and they totally get weekend and holiday brunches. They are having a large buffet featuring their amazing oysters, oysters rockefeller, smoked prime rib, Louisiana style BBQ shrimp, Captain Crunch French Toast along with a build your own omelet station. 9am-4pm.

Jack Allen’s Kitchen (in Oak Hill and Round Rock)
Their Easter Brunch will be a killer, as anyone who’s tried their Sunday brunch will agree. A comfort food tour de force from the creative mind of Jack Gillmore.

Hill Country Pasta House
This is a place that sometimes get overlooked, and it really deserves a look. They are primed for a great Easter brunch with lots of fresh greens from their garden to accompany.

Creek Road Café
If you haven’t tried this charming restaurant in Dripping Springs, you are doing yourself a disservice. The food has progressed to the point where it is a serious contender for our Top 20. Best Carrot Cake in Austin.

Chinatown Greystone
What better way to celebrate Easter than letting the amazing talents of Ronald Cheng manifest themselves for your group. From 11am-2:30pm. World class dim sum.

Fonda San Miguel
Vintage classic Mexican brunch featuring interior and coastal cuisines from our neighbor to the south. Like Trio, pricey but absolutely worth it.

Moonshine Patio Bar and Grill
A classic from the fertile mind of chef Larry Perdido from 9am-2:30pm. Prices not in the stratosphere and the food has been terrific for as long as I can remember.

III Forks
Chef Jamie Gutierrez has got this well-appointed downtown steakhouse humming, and Sunday appears to be a killer in the making. Brunch from Noon-8pm, and bring an appetite.

The Oasis
Chef Joshua may just be the most talented chef to ever step into the kitchen at the Oasis. Rest assured the view will be gorgeous and the food will be damned good as well. 10:30am-2pm at $35pp.

Tadashi
No brunch per se, but they will be open from 5-9pm with the full and scrumptious Japanese menu available. One of my new favorites.

Los Pinos
Margarito Maldonado is flat-out one of the best chefs in the city. His cuisine just happens to be Mexican. Both Los Pinos on Bee Caves and Hudson Bend Blvd. will be open from 7am-3pm. Ask Margarito for the Easter specials upon your arrival.

Perry’s Steakhouse
This spectacular downtown steakhouse will be serving the full menu from Noon-9pm. This is one restaurant that doesn’t need a brunch. The whole menu, from the amazing Pork Chop to some killer steaks and seafood dishes is worth a sampling.
