Fire at Los Pinos Causes Temporary Closing

I hate to see those breaking news stories (almost never good news) on local TV. And true to form, KVUE reported a fire at Hudson Bend favorite Los Pinos which apparently started early Tuesday morning. We don’t know the extent of the damage but apparently it was worse on the inside than the outside.

Los Pinos is a local favorite with many loyal patrons. And that’s primarily because owner and chef Margarito Maldanado is exceptionally talented. His eight years at Mirabelle were not misspent: he took his fine-dining background and applied it to Mexican comfort food. The results are generally terrific.
