Former Imperia Chef Tatsu-san Opens Ramen Noodle Spot North

One of the things I always enjoyed about Imperia, aside from the Dragon Rib and the Edamame Potstickers was the creative sushi work of Chef Tatsu.

But like so many others, Tatsu-san has departed Imperia. And he has opened a noodle house on the access road off 183 near Din Ho. It’s called Ramen Tatsuya and I expect this place to be absolutely terrific. Austin is, in my opinion, on sushi overkill at the moment. But a noodle house? Slurp slurp baby. Bring it on. It’s a departure for Tatsu but C.K. Chin (now at Swift’s Attic) who worked with him at Imperia thinks the noodle idea is spot on. I agree and literally can’t wait to get out there. On top of that, Tatsu is a hell of a nice guy. This is a little place (37 capacity) but it doesn’t take long to eat noodles. So he should be able to turn the tables frequently. I wish him good luck.
