Fukumoto Opens at 514 Medina

I have been following the progress of yet another Musashino alumnus ( a la Tyson Cole) and waiting for my old pal Kazu to open his new place.

Well, that occurred last weekend and Fukumoto is off and running with an izakaya concept in the Corazon building.

Kazu was always the first face I saw at Musashino (Smokey pretty much stayed back in the kitchen) and he was one of the most ingratiating and talented sushi chefs I’ve ever seen.
I’ll let things settle a bit before my first try ( as I always do) but we’ll have a tasting update for you soon.
