Hopdoddy Opens at 1400 South Congress

When a burger joint opens that features the creative collaboration of Austin restaurant luminaries like Chuck Smith and Larry Perdido of Moonshine, and Larry Foles and Guy Villavaso of Z Tejas, Eddie V’s and the Roaring Fork fame, it’s worth taking more than the usual notice. That’s some serious pedigree.

In the space of the former Cissi’s Grocery Store, Hopdoddy will feature local brews and a variety of burgers, fries, and shakes. The emphasis will be on fresh ingredients.

The hours will be daily from 11am to 10pm and open to midnight on Friday and Saturdays. I can see the crowd at 1st Thursday already mobbing this place.
