Hugo’s Opens on South Lamar Adjacent to Zach Scott Theater

For those who fondly remember Sampaio’s Brazillian restaurant on Burnet (and I’m one of them) I have good news. The irrepressible Magna Sampaio is back with a new concept on S. Lamar called Hugo’s. It’s Mexican this time (can you blame her?) but one thing Sampaio understands is good food, regardless of the culture it reflects. The soft opening was Wednesday night (June 8th) and the restaurant will open this Saturday.

The restaurant occupies part of the bottom floor of a new mixed-use high rise adjacent to Zachary Scott Theater. And the bustling, cute-as-a-button Sampaio, all 5 ft 2″ of her will be doing what she does best once again: pleasing customers and providing a memorable dining experience. (512) 474-4846
