My old pal Tatsu-san is at it again. The king of the big Ramen slurp has opened Kemuri Tatsu-Ya on 2713 E 2nd.

It’s at the site of the old Live Oak BBQ and that’s appropriate because kemuri means “smoke” in Japanese. This new spot will lean a bit more to new Izakaya side with some smoked meat dishes but the wonderfully slurpy ramen noodle bowls will still be in evidence. Tatsu has come a long way from his Imperia days and we wish him the best.
