Larry McGuire’s Latest: Clark’s Oyster Bar Opens

Like Oysters? Well then head to Clark’s Oyster Bar and 1200 W. 6th St. in the Clarksville neighborhood. This is the latest opening from young dynamo Larry McGuire (Lambert’s, Perlas, Elizabeth St.). I like the look of the oysters on the menu, although I’ll be damned if I can figure out how they managed to score the Kumamotos.

These have been verboten in Texas because of an idiotic dispute with Oregon and Washington that once cost McCormick & Schmick’s well over six figures in fines because they dared to offer them in Texas.

Perhaps it’s because these are from California. At any rate, Kumos are my favorite oysters and it will be a delight to suck some down, even if they’re from CA.
