Long Time East Side Tex Mex Favorite Vivo Under New Ownership, Opens North in The LINC
For those who have been around Austin for awhile, you’ll probably remember Vivo, a classic Tex Mex spot on Manor Road adjacent to Hoover’s Cooking.
They had amazingly original and tasty food, the highlight of which was their famous puffy tacos and tasty flautas. Their salsas were the best I’d tried and their tortilla soup and the chili con queso were equally compelling.
So I was very pleased to see that they’re reopening under new ownership at The LINC (formerly known as the Lincoln Center) off I-35 at 290.
Under the category that “past is prologue” I look forward to my first order of puffy tacos and the comfort that can be derived from renewing an acquaintance with an old friend.
