Looking for Qui? Double Check the Address Before You Set Out

I’ve been waiting for the initial mania to die down a bit before trying Paul Qui’s new restaurant. So the other day I drove down East 6th looking for 1600. At Comal and East 6th was a nondescript white building, but no indication of the street number or for that matter the name of the restaurant.
I pulled into the parking lot of the building: still no sign or address. Looking through the glass door and seeing a bar was the first indication I had this might be a restaurant

I saw a cook in his whites walking in and asked if I had missed a sign.

He smiled and shook his head,. “Nope.”

Well, I knew Paul Qui was hot and deservedly so, but to open in a plain white building with no signage or address? You gotta love this guy.
