Los Pinos Opens 2nd Location on Bee Caves

Los Pinos, a Mexican staple on Hudson Bend Blvd. for years, has now opened a second location on Bee Caves Road not far from the Galleria. It’s in the same building that housed Zoot several years ago, and before that the Bee Caves Bistro.

Margarito Maldanado is a gifted chef who worked with chef Michael at Mirabelle for many years before opening the first Los Pinos.

The Tortilla Soup is flat-out wonderful, and the Carnitas are just a bit crispy and exquisitely tender. I don’t think there’s any dish on the menu that would in anyway compromise this place.

Grand opening is Tuesday, June 11th. This makes me wish we still lived in Westlake!
