Mizu in Lakeway to Reopen in Several Months

The “For Lease” sign in front of Mizu is NOT for the restaurant. It’s for an adjacent office. This according to a call we received from the exec chef who told us that the time it took to repair the damage from the electrical fire was much longer than they had anticipated. He told us that the restaurant will definitely reopen, probably within two months.

This is definitely good news for Mizu fans who have been bombarding us with emails since the lease sign first went up a few weeks ago! It is a gorgeous property with one of the best views in Austin. They’ll need to do some serious rebranding though. Good luck to them.
