New Fortune Chinese Seafood Is Open on North Lamar

Any dim sum fan worth their msg remembers T&S seafood on North Lamar. That was a regular Sunday place for us. Bob Spurck, former head of the Austin Diagnostic Clininc, turned us on to the spot and we were very grateful that he did.

But the restaurant business is tough. And fortunes can ebb and flow over time. And for T&S, after several owners, the case was unfortunately the former. It was never the cleanest joint in the world, but we loved it anyway.

However, Jenny, my favorite T&S exec, is back behind a much larger and newer restaurant in The Chinatown Center on North Lamar called New Fortune Chinese Seafood Restaurant. They are open from 5pm-Midnight Tuesday-Friday, and till 1am on Friday. Saturday and Sunday one of the largest dim sum selections in Texas goes on display from 10am to 3pm.
