Noble Pig or Noble Sandwich? All Still Good

After John Bates and company changed the name of their wonderful sandwich shop from the Noble Pig to the Noble Sandwich Company and added locations at The Oasis and on Burnet, a question came up the other night about the name change.

If there is a city where restaurants are obsessed with pork, bacon, et al, it’s certainly Austin. So why re-brand the Noble Pig? Turns out to be owners’ prerogative. For me, the sandwiches are nothing short of spectacular. And that’s all that really matters.

They could have called it the Noble Prize for all I care. I am still drawn like a moth to the flame for the original Noble Pig sandwich with spicy ham, pulled pork, provolone and bacon.

This is a great, little Austintatious chain that fit ours city to a tee.
