Podcast: Dan Saccone

 
This week’s podcast features transplanted New Jersey native Dan Saccone. He landed in Austin almost twenty years ago with a passions for the pizzas of his New Jersey youth. And so he set out to start replicating those pies with the result being the first (and very welcomed) Saccone’s Pizza. Last year, he was voted Best Pizza in the Southwest and the Vegas Pizza Expo.

His sweet sauce pie is my favorite, but I love the heavier sausage and pepperoni pie as well. Dan’s restaurant is now located on 620 near Anderson Mill, and it’s worth the visit, no matter what part of Austin you live in.
