Restaurant Jezebel Opens

Restaurant Jezebel on 800 West 6th is the latest addition from one of my favorite chefs, Parind Vora. Many may remember Vora as the target of animal rights activists who repeatedly hurled vials of blood against the window of his former Congress Ave. restaurant, Jezebel. This was because he refused to stop serving Hudson Valley foie gras.

Hopefully, cooler heads have prevailed so that all can enjoy his wonderfully customized cuisine. His new high-end restaurant carries two prix fixe menus and, surprisingly for laid back Austin, a jacket requirement for men. (It’ll be interesting to see how long this lasts.)

Open less than a month, Restaurant Jezebel also has a bar attached called Mirabeau. Very hip and very trendy. Website is restaurantjezebel.com.
