Rivals Steakhouse Opens Downtown on East 5th
Can Austin handle yet another steakhouse? Well owner Bryan Soltis is betting that it can. Soltis, who hails from a successful run at Iron Cactus is shaping his restaurant toward Ray LeMay’s (Ray’s Steakhouse) old philosophy. If you’re paying $40+ dollars for a steak, then the salad and sides should come with it. I like that attitude.
The décor is accommodating and spacious and there’s some first rate sports art on the walls. Lots of big screen tvs as well. But this is by no means a sports bar. It’s just a friendly, easy-going upscale casual restaurant with a several large private event rooms and atmospheric areas for couples as well. It’s been open a month.
