Rob’s Recommendations for Austin Thanksgiving Dining

Used to be that you had to go to a hotel in Austin to find a good Thanksgiving dinner. There are still fine hotel dinners to be had (the Four Seasons, The Westin, et al.) but a number of local restaurants have made a special effort to celebrate the day with exclusive chef-designed menus. Below are a few of our favorites for this year.

III FORKS
This terrific downtown steakhouse is serving up a perfect dinner for the family. We went last year and ordered a plate full of fresh turkey (white and brown meat), gravy, and an amazing stuffing along with the traditional sides. Everybody in our group loved it! Definitely a must try.

CICLO AT THE FOUR SEASONS
Always a must for variety and flavors. Don’t be deterred if you can’t get a reservation. Keep trying!

Perhaps not the first place you’d think of, but this place rocks for Thankgiving!

CHINATOWN WESTLAKE
Chinese food for thanksgiving? When it’s as good as Chinatown, why the heck not? They are open all day and you’ll be blown away by the dim sum and other delicacies.

ESTANCIA BRAZILIAN STEAKHOUSE
A must try for Thanksgiving. This Brazilian steakhouse serves up a delicious spread.and lots of it as well. Their espeto comido concept( continuous dining) applies to Thanksgiving as well!
