Shawn Cirkiel Opens Chavez at the Radisson

Shawn Cirkiel is on the move again. Long one of my favorite chefs, from his debut at Jean Luc’s Bistro (now Perry’s) and then to Parkside, Backspace and Olive and June, Cirkiel’s work has always been about amazing creativity blended with a sense of culinary integrity and a refreshing candor about his roots.

His latest venture is at the Radisson, and it’s called Chavez. The menu seems to have a Southwest/Mexican vibe that emphasizes grilled meats, foul, and fish including house-made tortillas and several moles. As always I can’t wait to try the place. It’s open (because of its hotel location) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. More on Chavez soon!
