Soleil Closes
Soleil, a restaurant once full of promise adjacent to the Oasis was padlocked and closed Saturday after a lengthy dispute between the the lessees and lessors could not be satisfactorily resolved.
Soleil first opened under the helm of nationally known chef Robert del Grande who later gave way to Colorado’s David Burton Sanchez. But neither chef was able to generate the kind of revenue to sustain one of the highest monthly rents in the city and the other costs related to a high end restaurant.
Oasis owner Beau Theriot expressed great disappointment on behalf of himself and the other Soleil investors.
He emphasized that despite the setback with Soleil the Oasis was very much open and all was well with the iconic restaurant.
