Stinson’s Bistro Opens 2nd Location on Lake Austin Blvd.

The original Stinson’s Bistro on 4416 Burnet began as a trailer primarily serving a variety of coffees. It has evolved into a brick and mortar restaurant that is still heavy on the coffee (opens at 6:30am), but has now added salads, paninis, and other lighter fare. Favorable reports from our readers are coming in.

The second location is at the site of the former Pizza Bistro on Lake Austin Blvd. (The other location of Pizza Bistro is alive and quite well on Burnet.) We stopped by the just-opened restaurant the other night and tried some of the food. Not bad at all for being open a few days. We tried a cucumber sandwich which was quite tasty, hummus which wasn’t quite as good but still acceptable, and an individual pizza where the key to all pizza, the crust, held up nicely.
