The Dog and Duck Opens Monday
Susan Forrester’s year-long labor of love has love has finally come to fruition as the new Dog and Duck opens Monday at 2400A Webberville. [off E 7th].The new menu is slimmed down a bit from the old place but the standards are still there: Shepherd’s Pie, Bubble and Squeak, Fish and Chips, and Scotch Eggs, and of course their great burgers.
Forrerster told us that she looked for a building that resembled the beloved original Duck. Failing to find the right exterior, she concentrated on the interior.
A lot of the old Duck furniture is there at the new place, mismatched chairs and all. And the dart board area has been carefully preserved.
The new Duck will also be open for breakfast weekdays at 7am. [That’s a new twist] and weekends probably starting around 10am.
