The Range Golf Club and Sports Bar Opens at the Domain

This is a new concept to be sure: an upscale golf-themed restaurant built around six virtual golf courses (you know, you tee up your ball and whack it into a screen which simulates certain famous golf holes and courses). The menu seems way past bar food though and actually appears to be quite thorough and interesting. The grand opening is Friday, May 25th. Jenn and Sean Blanchard are the owners and designers of the concept.

This is a first for Austin but golf notwithstanding (and we are, yours truly included, a city of golf nuts) it will come down to the food and the overall scene. There are going to be lots of TV’s and by no means will golf be the only sport going on. Pro and college Baseball, Basketball, Football and of course everything televised regarding UT sports will be available as well.

The Range is located at the Domain adjacent to the iPic theatre and behind Maggiano’s Italian restaurant.
