Washington D.C. Steak Concept Medium Rare Scouting Locations in Austin
Austin has a well-deserved reputation for its stellar steakhouses. From III Forks to Perry’s and Steiner Ranch, not to mention Ruth’s Chris, Austin Land and Cattle, Eddie V’s, Bob’s Steak and Chops, Roaring Fork and many others, Austinites have many palate-pleasing locations at their disposal.
So on first glance one would think that the idea of another steakhouse entering the market might seem a bit redundant. But now, from the Washington D.C. area we hear that a steak concept called Medium Rare is scouting for Austin locations.
Medium Rare has built its brand around steak frites, a French tradition of simple and delicious steaks and French fries one would often find at small spots in railroad stations and smaller neighborhoods.
The founders have touched up the concept with French lessons and and classically crisp fries, and yes, while they may not offer Wagyu or Kobe, the steaks are said to be quite good.
So stay tuned, we’ll keep you apprised of when and where Medium Rare lands in Austin!
